Welcome to Zeke's KC Cares for Kids fundraising page!
The Children's Mercy Cancer Center has always had a special place in our hearts. We have watched Zeke's Aunt Katy touch the lives of so many in her 12 years working with pediatric oncology patients. More recently, when Zeke was born, the CMH Cancer Center was integral in the care and decision making process for Zeke. The research and decisions that they help us with are in part why he is a happy and healthy almost 2 year old! Zeke will continue to be monitored by the CMH Cancer Center through his childhood. We want to help raise funds for their research and care of patients undergoing treatment.
Join us in supporting the 2018 KC Cares for Kids Walk on Saturday, September 15 at Children's Mercy Park! This annual family-friendly walk raises funds and awareness for the patients and families in the Children’s Mercy Cancer Center.
With your help, we can help make a difference in the lives of children battling pediatric cancer and blood disorders and their families at Children’s Mercy. Please join my fundraising efforts for this year’s KC Cares for Kids Walk and let’s show #WhyWeCare about kids in our community fighting cancer!
In its fifth year, the KC Cares for Kids Walk continues to benefit the Cancer Center Auxiliary at Children’s Mercy, which generates funding to improve the physical and emotional well-being of children with cancer and blood disorders as well as their families, while also supporting groundbreaking pediatric research.
Why We Participate
We’ve joined the fight against pediatric cancer and blood disorders by signing up for the KC Cares for Kids Walk. Now, we need your help to reach our fundraising goal. It’s going to take all of us to put an end to childhood cancer and blood disorders, so please support us by making a donation or by joining our team.
Why Children’s Mercy?
Each year, Children’s Mercy provides comprehensive care to nearly 2,000 children with childhood cancers, sickle cell disease, hemophilia and other blood disorders, with survival rates frequently above national averages.
Children’s Mercy has one of the nation’s largest Child Life programs, making the hospital experience more comfortable for patients and families.
From equipment made for their smaller bodies to unique specialty areas for infants, children and teenagers, everything at Children’s Mercy is designed for children so that we can best serve them at all stages of growth.
