Believe it or not, Teddy is 8(!), and this is our 5th KC Cares for Kids walk! From the moment that Teddy was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer, the Children's Mercy Hematology/Oncology staff has been beside us on every step of the journey. We are so grateful to Childen's Mercy, and hope that you'll contribute whatever you're able to our Team Teddy 2019 walking team!
Why Children’s Mercy?
Each year, Children’s Mercy provides comprehensive care to nearly 2,000 children with childhood cancers, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and other blood disorders, with survival rates frequently above national averages.
Children’s Mercy has one of the nation’s largest Child Life programs, making the hospital experience more comfortable for patients and families.
From equipment made for their smaller bodies to unique specialty areas for infants, children, and teenagers, everything at Children’s Mercy is designed for children so that we can best serve them at all stages of growth.
